Tip#1002: Your Thoughts Have So Much Power, Part 2 – Doctor Strange

I remember decades ago when my mom was very crippled in her hands and legs with rheumatoid arthritis. But my mom was a fighter and ignored doctors who told her there were no cures. So she researched and discovered the alternative healing practices of Chinese herbs and acupuncture. Soon she recovered the use of her hands was able to walk again. She went back to her doctors and they were amazed. Today she still needs to maintain her health and these ancient healing methods are part of her regiment.

My mom inspired me to always be open to alternative healing practices and beliefs when it came to my own physical and mental health challenges. At the same time I grew up loving science fiction movies that featured time-travel and alternate reality concepts. These themes excited my imagination to stay open to amazing possibilities in life. I believe that is the key to discovering solutions to any challenges anyone may face in their life or work.

That’s why it thrills me to know that certain movies like Marvel's Doctor Strange are overflowing with mind-expanding concepts of topics I am passionate about like time-travel, spiritual beliefs, Eastern healing methods, out-of-body experiences, near-death experiences, healing power of the mind, alternate realities and multidimensional space!

Doctor Strange (2016)

The superhero film, Doctor Strange, is a about a former neurosurgeon named Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who goes on a journey of healing only to discover mystical practices for altering time and space through the teachings of the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton). This entertaining film is filled with mind-blowing imagery and thought-provoking concepts. Also starring Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Benedict Wong. See: movie trailer

The physics bending visuals of this film are absolutely stunning, imaginative, breathtaking and very mind-blowing! It’s definitely psychedelic and hallucinogenic as well. They reminded me of other amazing visuals I’ve loved from movies such as Inception, Contact and 2001: A Space Odyssey. And all these scenes have a purpose to demonstrate to Doctor Strange the power and hidden potential of his own mind.

If you’ve done any personal growth and development work via motivational/self-help books or seminars then you already know that our thoughts and beliefs (conscious and unconscious) can shape our realities and life path. This superhero film can inspire you to expand your mind and remind you to believe there are always solutions to challenges that seem impossible to solve.

Inspiring Themes:
• Having a Vision
• Passion
• Perseverance
• Resilience
• Indestructible Optimism
• Supportive Relationships
• Personal Growth & Development
• Metaphysical & Spiritual Beliefs
• Alternate Healing Methods

Do your best to have an open mind in your life and work. And be prepared to let go of what you think you know in order to let hidden solutions appear on your path. Imaginative movies can help you visualize new worlds of thinking and seeing. Be inspired today through the power of cinema!
