Tip#117: Take Stock Of Your Achievements In 2007 - The Incredibles

Before you begin your new year it is a great practice to take stock of your achievements of this past year. To read more details see Tip#16: Take Stock Of Your Achievements of last year. Below are the steps for doing your own list and my personal list for 2007.

STEP 1
Look at where you were during the year under each of these categories:
a) Career b) Relationships c) Life Challenges

Helpful triggers:
a. Look back at each month and review your emails, day timer, etc.
b. Remember the challenges you were going through at the time.
c. Remind yourself of fears you faced, projects you had completed over the year or relationships you developed or ended.
d. Ask a friend or family member if they remember any successes you had. Maybe it was something you were searching for and finally found.

STEP 2
Write down as many successes as you can under each category.

STEP 3
Celebrate these successes today by treating yourself to: a favourite beverage, food, movie, etc. This raises your positive energy, positive attitude and self-esteem to utilize the law of attraction and magnetize more successes!

When you do your list and you'll see how much you’ve moved forward with previous goals. It'll excite you to see that every accomplishment is moving you forward.

Here is my list for 2007:

a) Career:
-Found a new workshop space which led to new wellness centre audience
-Created promo card that focused my services and opened doors to several new corporate wellness opportunities
-Organized my assets (motivational product concepts, artworks, stories, etc.)
-Discovered new methods of productive thinking about money and relationships from speakers Bob Proctor, Michael Losier, Robert Kiyosaki, Chris Gardner

b) Relationships:
-Made new friends and contacts that believe in me and my path
-Disconnected from toxic relationships quicker than in the past
-Applied law of attraction for my soul mate and made many strides forward

c) Life Challenges:
-Discovered a revelation about my father bringing clarity to ALL my current challenges with money
-Let go of old clothes and home items (old energy) for new ones (new energy)
-Discovered simple protein shake diet that dramatically increased energy and clarity of thinking

So remember that your achievements can be anything you did that made you feel great and better about yourself as a person. This feel good energy is what will fuel the success of your new year's resolutions and goals.

The Incredibles

There's a scene in the Pixar animated movie, The Incredibleswhere a retired superhero is looking at his wall of news clippings of previous accomplishments. It helped him to realize that he still had the skills to achievement more for himself and to others.

It's easy to forget the accomplishments you've made over the year. This is why it's important to look back and see the value of the year that has ended and to enter the new year full of shining optimism and drive.

Happy New Year to you!

And please email me to share any of your achievements this past year.

Tip#116: Gifts from Heaven Part 2 - What Dreams May Come

What Dreams May Come 1998

This is part 2 of my previous blog entry, Tip#115 and the profound gift I felt my dad had given me from heaven. I had received another gift the day after I sent him my prayer and request for help. I was magically led to a sale on DVDs and found one last copy of What Dreams May Comestarring Robin Williams. It proved once again that our prayers can be answered.

The movie was written by Richard Matheson who also wrote the films, I Am Legendand Somewhere In Time. Both 'Somewhere In Time' and What Dreams May Comewere produced by Stephen Simon who inspired me with his own story that it took him almost 20 years to get What Dreams May Cometo the screen.

"Never Give Up."

This simple and powerful quote is the message I received from Simon's journey to get his film made. It is also a quote and message of this movie where Robin Williams's character has accidentally died and, in the afterlife, must find his wife and soul mate who had just killed herself over her grief. The challenge is since she has broken an afterlife rule for committing suicide she was destined to spend eternity lost and alone in her own private hell.

Yes this is a very unusual love story and yet it's metaphysical messages can deeply inspire any one who believes in true love, soul mates and in life beyond the physical. I had seen this movie when it first came out almost 20 years ago and it felt now like a gift from heaven and a fresh new movie to remind me to never give up on finding my soul mate.

The movie filled me with overflowing hope and a renewed positive attitude. I was also in awe of the timing of rediscovering this story. I truly felt my father's spirit guided me to this DVD to ease my pain of feeling lonely this Christmas.

Power of Your Mind

Another synchronistic message from What Dreams May Comeis to realize the power of your mind. I have been listening to my father's first gift from heaven of the audio book for "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". It also states the importance of understanding the power of our mind and to watch how we think. We create our reality and it starts with our thoughts. It's the core factor of the law of attraction.

So remember the power of your own mind. Remember to focus on hope and a positive future for yourself. Remember to never give up and to persevere during lonely times in your life. And know that you are never alone. You will always have angels in heaven AND on earth to help you move forward.

Other movies about messages from heavenly soul mates:
Always:Richard Dreyfus & Holly Hunter
Dragonfly:Kevin Costner & Susanna Thompson
Ghost:Demi Moore & Patrick Swayze
Made In Heaven:Timothy Hutton & Kelly McGillis

Tip#115: Gifts from Heaven - Field of Dreams - Frequency

Answers to life's problems can come from unexpected sources. Keep an open mind and they may even arrive from a place called heaven!

Recently I'd been feeling a little down. My thoughts had been dwelling on my father who had passed away a few years ago around this time before Christmas. Also the holidays were magnifying other things I didn't have in my life like financial freedom and a soul mate to share the holidays with.

But on the day of the anniversary of my dad's passing something amazing happened. Feeling sad that day I had sent a prayer out to my dad letting him know I missed him and asked for a little help here on earth. I didn't wait long at all.

Just hours later I discovered audio recordings of the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dadby Robert Kiyosaki. I felt compelled to listen to the tapes and my spirit immediately filled with light and excitement. It was amazing serendipity and I believed this was a gift from my dad in heaven.

This true story by Kiyosaki was deeply inspiring. He simply told the story of how his father was a well educated man but died poor whereas he was taught how to be financially intelligent by his friend's rich father since the age of 9. The insights from the supplemental parenting helped Kiyosaki achieve a rich state of mind and fantastic financial freedom.

I could feel surging and rewiring inside my brain as I listened to Kiyosaki's messages. I felt like I was downloading new ideas and new life and career directions that my soul craved just before the new year.

"Your mind is your greatest asset."

This quote from Rich Dad, Poor Dadwas a key message for me. I felt like this whole book was an early Christmas gift from my father. The synchronicity and irony being the title of this book and a strong feeling that my father was teaching me right now what I needed to know through the wisdom of these other fathers.

The book's ideas got me excited about life again and I could feel my passion and optimistic, positive energy re-igniting. I knew now this was the next phase of my personal development for changing my limiting thoughts about money, old paradigms and childhood programming.

FrequencyMovie

There are 2 powerful movies that explore the idea of one's father giving their sons gifts from heaven. The movie Frequencystars Jim Caviezel who is able to magically talk to his dead father, played by Dennis Quaid, via an old CB radio. It was deeply touching to watch a long lost father give advice, love and encouragement to his son from another time and space.

Field of DreamsMovie

The other film is Field of Dreamsstarring Kevin Costner who follows a voice in his head that leads him on a journey to reconnect with his father who had passed away years before. "If you build it, he will come." This is the message he hears and by trusting in it, no matter how strange the situation, he is rewarded for his unshakable faith.

Both sons received profound gifts from their fathers. These movies helped me believe my own father had heard my prayers for help and sent me exactly what I needed just before Christmas this year. Merry Christmas Dad and thank you!

So believe that gifts can come to you from any place. Believe that loved ones who are no longer in the physical still exist and are as real as ever. Believe they are now your angels able to hear your calls for help or messages of love. They are with you right now.

Happy Holidays to you and all your loved ones!

Tip#114: The Storms In Your Life - I Am Legend

Recently, Toronto was hit by the biggest snowstorm in years. The storm also hit other parts of eastern Canada and the US burying cities with up to 2 feet of snow. And though the blizzard inevitably caused all sorts of street accidents and other problems there was a sense of beauty to the heavy snowfall.

Looking out my high bay windows that Sunday morning I had never seen downtown Toronto completely obliterated from sight by the blowing snow. The CN Tower was gone and even the apartment building right next to me was barely visible. The storm transformed everything I was used to looking at.

I Am Legend

So in the early afternoon I went to see the just released sci fi movie, I Am Legend starring Will Smith. I met up with a few friends who lived close by and we each trudged through the thick snow to the nearby Scotia Bank theatre.

The film was the perfect escapist movie to see that day. I Am Legendtakes place in the year 2012 where a virus has wiped out a majority of the earth's population. The aerial scenes of Smith's character and his dog alone in a dissolute New York City was breathtaking to watch. And having just been to NYC it was a shock to see the city in a whole new light.

All the familiar locations of Time Square and other parts of Manhattan were free of people and full of overgrown weeds. Wild animals now roam through the once bustling streets. And the movie explored the fun benefits of having an entire city as your playground. Imagine having every DVD/CD store all for yourself or driving anywhere you wanted at any speed!

The movie also shows how lonely one can be in a situation like this futurist story. It made me think of how grateful I was having the friends and family around me right now.

Going to the future in a movie like I Am Legendhelped me see how lucky I was in the present. Seeing the destruction of the future made me see the beauty of what I have now. That is the ultimate beauty of films - they can help mirror all the value and strengths in your life.

So let movies show you visions that will jar your current or rigid thinking. Let the storms in your life transform how you see things to bring new insights about yourself. See the value of what you have already around you.

There are special, meaningful movies that can lift you up every time you watch them. It doesn't matter how many times you've seen them they just do something deep inside you to re-energize your spirit.

December holidays can be lonely and depressing for some. It can amplify what is missing in someone's life. Enchanted

Tip#112: Celebrate The Imagination, Part 4 - The Prestige

The genre of science fiction explores the unlimited world of the imagination. This can lead to amazing new inventions and new possibilities to improve your own life. So if you love sci fi shows and fantasy stories then celebrate the power behind this world where anything can happen.

Recently, I was excited to see a demonstration of science fiction turning into science fact at the Expansion Celebration of the open house I mentioned in the previous 3 tips. This presentation at the wellness centre featured Meridian Stress Assessment and the technology to help you learn what's happening inside your body, how your organ systems are performing, and what foods you're sensitive or allergic to.

Invented by a German medical doctor named Reinhold Voll in the 1950s, it's an electronic testing device that utilizes the body's response to electromagnetic currents. It expands on Chinese medicine and the body's energy field or Chi.

The procedure involves a person holding a brass connector in one hand while the other gets tapped with a small device attached to a small silver box and a laptop computer. The computer program already has stored electromagnetic "imprint" frequencies of a variety of foods such as apples, butter, cheese, caffeine, chicken, red wine and MSG. So the patient's own energy field frequencies are compared to the frequencies of specific foods to see if there is a conflict or compatibility.

Beyond The World of Star Trek

This all seemed like Star Trekcome to life for me. I grew up loving all 5 of the Star TrekTV shows and the movie series so the demonstration was exciting to witness. I have lived to see the "communicator" in the original 60's series become a reality known around the world today as cell phones.

Star Trekalso introduced the idea of a "transporter room" where one's body is transmuted into another form of energy that can be transported, reassembled and materialize in another location.

There are 2 other fascinating movies that explore molecular transport. One is The Flystarring Jeff Goldblum as a scientist who invents his own transporter machine. The other film is The Prestigestarring Hugh Jackman as a magician who commissions a scientist to create a transporter machine for the ultimate magic trick.

It's great to think that one day we could live to see such a transporter device and become as popular as the cell phone/communicator in today's society. Imagine being able to go on instant vacations anywhere around the world! Imagine being able bring loved ones to you in the blink of an eye!

Value the Imagination

Witnessing the Meridian Stress Assessment demonstration opened my eyes that science fiction becoming science fact is just a matter of time. It made me excited to know that the understanding of eastern studies of energy is spreading faster in today's western culture as viable alternatives to help heal our body, mind and spirit.

So remember there is great value in the imagination and fantastical thoughts. Remember this is a source from which great inventions come from. And keep a little of your childhood imagination alive because it can be your source for maintaining an open mind for all kinds of creative solutions to the obstacles in your life.

Celebrate the imagination and it will excite you to enjoy new and powerful ideas that come your way. Remember the answers you want in your life may not arrive in the way you expected. Believe in the impossible!

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
Albert Einstein
